This project offers a unique opportunity to acquire one off the best sports car ever made for fraction of restored car value. Talbot-Lago T26 was introduced in 1946. The chassis and drivetrain were new and the car featured fully independent front suspension, hydraulic brakes and Wilson pre-selector gearbox. The real jewel was the magnificent 4.5-litre, 6-cylinder, twin-cam engine with hemispherical cylindre head, that Anthony Lago developed during the War with Carlo Marchetti, his chief engineer. Not only it was great to look at (with its polished Art Deco valve covers), it also gave exceptional torque, 170 HP and was capable of 170 km/h.
Our car is factory made Cabriolet d’Usine, which was inspired by design made by famous coachbuilder Figoni & Falaschi. Chassis is partially restored and the body si complete.
