Austin Healey 3000 also known as 'Big Healey' was launched in March 1959. This small but powerful car featured ladder-type chassis and independent front and live rear axle suspension. Improvements to the 3000 included also slightly enlarged (to 2.912cc) version of the C-Series six-cylinder engine and Girling disc brakes. The engine was breathing through twin SU carburetors and produced 124bhp at 4,600rpm. Top speed increased to 115mph and the car was able to reach 60mph in a little over 11 seconds.
This particular car was imported from USA and painstakingly restored regardless the costs by current owner. Since the restoration was done, the car wasn’t driven too much. Today it is in concours condition, fully functional and does not require any investment.
